Over the years crawl space constructed homes have not always had the best way to get access under the home. The first homes with access consisted of simple dug-outs wherever they could. They were then put outside and constructed of less than ideal materials that were no more than termite infested breeding grounds of water laden lumber. Then there are the homes that have in-door access located in places that are, in most cases, hard to get too, less than convenient for keeping things in the home clean, or simply located where it was the point of last resort.
This two piece unit, Dec-O-Space™, solves a multitude of problems related to:
- Having it constructed of high impact light weight UV protected ABS materials that eliminates deterioration, rust, corrosion, breeding ground for unhealthy bugs that are not good for your home.
- The unit is sold separately as an "Area Well" and as a "Crawl Space Door & Frame" so that the consumer can determine what part serves them best.
- Both the lid of the Area Well, as well as the door of the Crawl Space Door and Frame have quick release turn knobs for easy access.
- Within the lid and the door of both units a finger hole is located so that the consumer can easily remove both portions for easy access.
- The "Area Well" portion of Dec-O-Space™ is designed to be stackable in order to provide the option of setting the outside grade higher.
- The "Area well" Lid can support over 700 lbs.
- The frame work of the Crawl Space Door & Frame is adjustable for either 6" or 8" width so as to accommodate different concrete stem wall thicknesses.
